Fresh from wrapping up a record twelfth FIM Women's Trial World Championship Laia Sanz - Gas Gas had this to say. "Yesterday I felt quite good on the bike during practice, but with the rain today it was very difficult. You have to remember that I have not practiced since the round in Andorra back in June. When the conditions are wet it is much more difficult as you need to be able to move freely, so that was hard for me today. I made a lot more mistakes than normal, but the important thing is I made it through the most difficult sections today and I won." "In the middle of the Trial I felt very tired and not so well. A combination of the pain from my toe and the tablets I took for this, were the reason for this I think. The second lap was better, but still I could not work well with this injury, as you cannot move quickly or correctly. All the day I was afraid not to do more damage to the toe, which also took away some of my confidence." "It feels great to be champion again, it almost feels untrue. I could not believe when I won my first title, and now I have twelve FIM World Championships. With the injury and Dakar this season, I have not been able to train in the same way as usual so it has been a really tough year for me, but still a good one." "I want to thank the doctors who have helped get me here today, and I also want to thank the team and of course my family and friends too."
