Gollob reveals new action plan

Tomasz Gollob has revealed a bold action plan which he hopes will lead to FIM Speedway World Championship Grand Prix glory.

The 38-year-old Pole got his 2009 campaign back on track with second place at the European Grand Prix in front of his countrymen in Leszno.

Gollob, now up to fifth place in the series standings, 12 points behind leader Jason Crump, was again hit by mechanical problems.

But the Bydgoszcz-born veteran said: "Two weeks ago my bike went wrong in Prague in the latter stages of the meeting. This time it happened much earlier and I swapped bikes.

"It is my new strategy - if I feel something goes wrong with the engine, I change it, regardless whether it is set up for the track or not.

"I want to do better than last year and my start has not been bad."
