Absent from this year’s FIM X-Trial World Championship as he continued his recovery programme for his long term knee injury, the highly popular Takahisa Fujinami – Repsol Honda will be welcomed back into the fold tomorrow night as he contests the 2015 FIM X-Trial des Nations representing Japan. The now thirty-five-year-old has been greatly missed during the early part of the year, with the high revving Japanese hero bringing something special and extra to each event that he competes in.
Despite opting not to ride in last weekend’s opening round of the Spanish national championship the veteran campaigner has recently got a couple of competitive outings under his belt as he took part in two international indoors last month. Takahisa’s appearance at the FIM X-Trial des Nations will set him on his way before he then returns to his native Japan later this month for the all important opening round of the FIM Trial World Championship that will signify the start of the outdoor season proper.
Irrespective of their nationality, Fujinami fans from around the World will be delighted to welcome this colourful character back to the action, and are sure to be looking forward to seeing him back in the mix, and to enjoy the extra level of entertainment that he brings with it.
