France goes down in history with the tenth title in a row

At the circuit of Carole, Thomas Chareyre, Sylvain Bidart and Steve Bonnal made the Supermoto history with three smart races without mistakes and came home with the tenth title in a row. The success was made even more perfect by the victory of the Junior team.

RACE 1 (Riders 1 + Riders 2)
Steve Bonnal (France) could not make the best out of his pole position start, in fact Andreas Bushberger (Austria) and Romain Kaivers (Belgium) overtook him in the first corner. The two riders opened a small margin over their rivals taking advantage of the fight that was going on behind them. In the first laps Thomas Chareyre (France) reached the front positions despite the start from the back, but the main protagonist of the first race was Elia Sammartin (Italy) with an astonishing performance. After a wise start to avoid problems in the first corner, Elia worked his way up with fast laps and lap after lap got closer and closer to the front. In the sixth lap Elia took command of the race and opened a margin on rivals, keeping it till the victory. Behind the Italian rider, the French duo worked their way up. Steve Bonnal was second and Thomas Chareyre fourth, while third place went to Andreas Bushberger. The best Junior nation was France with Alexis Hoareau, sixth overall and best Junior rider.

At the end of the first Race France was the leading nation, followed by Italy and Germany.
