Fox makes a strong return

Twenty-six year old Donna Fox – Beta is one of the more experienced campaigners on the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship circuit, having first competed in the series in 2002. The following six year’s saw her progress through the general standings, eventually claiming fourth at the end of 2008. After taking a two-year break from Trial, the two-wheeled talent from Doncaster, Great Britain has made a stunning return to form, claiming an impressive fifth place at the opening round of the 2011 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship last weekend in Germany. Despite not stepping foot on a motorcycle during her lengthy absence, the Beta teamster has seemingly lost none of her raw talent. Recently finishing third in the highly competitive British domestic Trial championship, Donna has re-established herself as one of the World’s most capable female Trial riders. “At the end of 2008 I decided that I would take a break from Trial. I had ridden the World Championship for a long time and wanted to buy a house, so it wasn’t really possible to continue.” “After a couple of year’s I borrowed a Beta and started riding the British championship. I was pleased with my riding and I decided to ride in the World series. My target at the start of the year was to finish inside the top ten, however after my result in Germany a top five overall result would be amazing. As always I think you must have fun in order to get good results and at the moment I’m really enjoying my riding.”
