Donna Fox – Sherco came desperately close to equally her best ever result after she narrowly missed out on taking her place on the box on the opening day in Teo, Spain that marked round two of the 2015 Women’s Trial World Championship. Soon to be thirty-one year old Fox from Great Britain is also currently on target to match her best ever overall ranking too, with her presently sitting in fourth spot in the general standings with two counting days remaining.
Speaking after yesterday’s Trial Fox was still smiling despite having not quire managed to make it into the top three. “I didn’t feel to be riding that well and actually made quite a lot of mistakes so I was a little surprised to see how high up the leader board I was after two laps. Obviously it would have been great to have made it onto the podium, but fourth place is still OK for me. If I can hang onto fourth in the championship it will have been a good season for me.”
Fox laughed further as he ended by saying. “Let’s see what happens tomorrow, rain is forecast, which might just suit us British ladies so I might get another shot at being on the podium alongside Emma (Bristow) and Becky (Cook). A British 1-2-3 would be amazing.”
