Recently a meeting took place between Mr. Palmino Poli, President of FIVA Motorcycle Commission and Mr. Damiano Zamana, Director of FIM Touring and Leisure Commission in order to find a common ground of cooperation, considering that, concerning vintage motorcycles, both associations have same goals and objectives: which are promotion and development of motorbikes and motorcycling related activities and the protection of riders’ rights.
At the same time, both organizations are aware and confirm the specific fields of work of the two associations. FIM covers motorcycle sport activities in general, while FIVA covers events related to vintage motorcycles. Nevertheless, there are still common aims that could be developed further on, especially the effort to ensure that motorcycles considered `historic motorcycles` reaches future generations and that the motorcycle culture is spread worldwide.
