First female rider in FIM e-Power

The FIM’s Commission ‘Women in Motorcycling’, in partnership with the Italian eCRP Team, invited earlier today, the Members of the International and National Press to the introduction of Shelina Moreda as team member of Alessandro Branetti.

Both riders are entered to compete in America for the first unique challenge of the FIM e-Power and TTX, a combined race, with their rider Alessandro Brannetti and Shelina Moreda, a support race in the programme of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix MotoGP weekend.

The race at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will be a real challenge, and all the riders aspire to compete at their best, get the victory, and be on the podium: an exciting show is assured.

Brannetti says: "When I was asked in 2010 to become the official rider of eCRP, I never thought I could compete in America with my colleagues in the MotoGP. Even if it is a different kind of race I like the idea of being at Laguna Seca  with CRP Racing.  It represents the only Italian team to take part in the race and this makes me very proud. I will do my best to get on the podium.”

Shelina states: "I am happy to race an electric motorcycle and I'm looking forward to riding the eCRP 1.4 on track at Laguna Seca. Electric motorcycles are the next big thing and have been getting faster and faster in a short amount of time. It will be a different feel for a motorcycle and especially for racing, but that makes it fun." Giampiero Testoni, the Technical Director of CRP Racing is very enthusiastic about this US round: "The common goal is to promote electric motorbikes and the presence of women riders on track. We are doing our best to give the right visibility to powerful electric vehicles that have their own charm and their soul, just like their internal combustion-powered cousins”.  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------About CRP Racing CRP Racing: it is focused on research, development and implementation of major projects, which have as main target the world on two wheels supported by the know-how that comes from more than 40 years of experience in top international motorsport series.
