First ever FIM Anthem released

For the first time in its one-hundred and twenty-year history, the FIM has commissioned its own anthem. Played initially without any prior announcement at the inaugural FIM Intercontinental Games in Jerez, Spain and then at the FIM Awards in Palma de Mallorca earlier this month, the FIM is now delighted to formally release its own anthem.

Listen to the first ever FIM anthem!

This audio project marks the last chapter in the FIM’s rebranding process that started twelve months earlier with the launch of the new FIM logo and visual identity. Seeing the logo and now hearing the FIM anthem will be an important part of recognising and identifying FIM events long into the future.

Composed by Italy’s Enzo Dalla Gassa, the project was led by his compatriot Andrea Grigolato in partnership with the Hoodooh agency, with the resulting musical score being played by an orchestra from Budapest, Hungary.

Reflecting the many nationalities, varied disciplines, inclusivity and diversity, and pure passion found within the global FIM family, the internationally conceived anthem will act as the perfect audio reminder of the FIM values and pursuits.

Music Supervisor Andrea A. Grigolato (Hoodooh) said, “I always thought that music is about connecting people through emotions so, speaking about emotions, we felt all the responsibility and the honor of shaping the sound of FIM for many years to come, but, at the same time, we were thrilled by what we were doing. We felt free to explore these soundscapes and we had a lot of fun! Responsibility, thrill, freedom, fun… these are also the words I’d use if I want to describe what means riding a motorbike to me.”

Composer Enzo Livio Gilles Dalla Gassa, added “I was born surrounded by engines, worshipping everything that could be fast. This opportunity was pure magic for me. I’m deeply grateful because the entire path, from composing this anthem to presenting it at the FIM Awards was my greatest experience in music till now.  It has been a huge honor for me to compose this anthem for this legendary sport federation.”

Thrilled by the outcome of this project Jorge Viegas FIM President said: “The idea of having an FIM anthem was something that began not long after I first joined the FIM many years ago, so to have the opportunity to finally bring this concept to life at the close of the one-hundred and twenty-year celebrations is something I am very proud of. Like the new logo, the anthem signifies the future plans and aspirations of the FIM and cements the FIM family together in yet another way as we continue to collaborate more closely than ever to reach our shared goals.”
