After four qualifying rounds held in Neustadt Donau (GER), Gorican (CRO), Rander (DEN) and Blijham (NED), 36 Under 21 Speedway Riders have qualified for the two Semi-Final meetings.
On 2 July, the two Semi-Finals will be staged in the Ukrainian city of Chervonograd and in Terenzano, Italy. Terenzano will also be hosting the 2012 FIM Italian Speedway Grand Prix in August.
After these two Semi-Finals, only the top 14 young Speedway riders will remain in contention, all vying to accumulate maximum points over the 2012 FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship Final Series:
