FIM Speedway: future stars on board

The FIM is joining Ekstraliga and the Polish Motorcycling Federation (PZM) in the organisation of the biggest speedway training camp ever from 18th to 22nd July Toruń, Poland. Motoarena Toruń is a well-known renovated speedway stadium on the World speedway scene, having hosted numerous World and European Championship events.

Seventy-four female and male riders from eighteen nations and three continents will attend the event: sixteen in the 125cc class (12-15 years old) – twenty-six in the 250cc class (13-16 years old) and thirty-two in the 500cc class (16-20 years old). Electric Speedway bike testing is also part of this training camp.

The initiative of Ekstraliga and the PZM was immediately supported by the FIM. Never has a speedway training camp of this magnitude been organised. Five full days of training, racing, mechanic, and marketing lessons, psychologist and medias sessions as well as entertainment.

Famous trainers, Speedway Grand Prix and former riders will give their best advices to the young riders through activities, training and racing moments. The FIM will support it with the presence of four times Speedway World Champion Greg Hancock and FIM Track Racing Director, Armando Castagna.

A marketing campaign will be held by the hosting organisations where the youngsters will be able to act as pro-riders like Bartosz Zmarzlik, Martin Vaculik, Janusz Kolodziej or Leon Madsen and feel the exciting sensations to be live on channels such as Ekstraliga TV, in cooperation with Canal+ Poland.

During these fantastic all-inclusive days of experience, an event including the best riders of each class will be held on the mythical track and all the training camp participants will be encouraged to go and watch their idols in an PGE Ekstraliga match.
