FIM Sidecar teams enrollment open !


After another stunning season of competition for the FIM Superside last year we are now ready to kick off 2020.

As previously announced, the first big news of the starting season is Santander Salt Ltd & RKB Motorsport, Roger Body’s companies are joining FIM’s force to promote and develop the FIM Sidecar World Championship.

Despite some recent changes due to Coronavirus, and subject to further developments, the 2020 FIM Sidecar Word Championship Calendar with some exciting changes and additions is now confirmed.

    16-17 May - Lausitzring, Germany
    27-28 June - Pannoniaring, Hungary
    24-26 July - Brands Hatch, Great Britain
    29-30 August - Rijeka, Croatia
    05 September - Le Mans, France
    17-20 September - Assen, The Netherlands
    03-04 October - Oschersleben, Germany
    24-25 October - Estoril, Portugal

Also, thanks to the new promoter, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Entry Portal for prospective competitors.
 
Those interested in competing in the 2020 season can now apply to do so.

This Web platform has been designed to make entry for any of the World Championship rounds as simple as possible, throughout the entire season.

1: REGISTRATION: Log in
The rider or the passenger will have to register him/herself and his/her team mate. An e-mail will then be sent to the team mate for him/her to confirm their information.

Teams need to check the calendar dates for the events that they intend to participate at. Teams will be able to return to their account to add or remove any rounds as required.

Registration closed 15 days prior the start of each round (see below)

2: CONFIRMATION: Agree & Sign
All riders and passengers must contact their National Motorcycling Federation (FMN) to order their World Championship licence.

Confirmation of the selected teams by means of Press Release 15 days prior each rounds.

3: FINAL ENTRY PHASE: Payment Details
In order to help teams, the Promoter has arranged sponsorship for the Series.
When entering using the Portal, Teams will agree to pay £500 for each round by entering their credit card details that will be stored securely on CityPay. No payment will be taken until 7 days prior to each event.

After each event, the top 20 teams of the current championship classification, the Promoter will refund £1000 back to the cards hold.

The following championship classified teams (21st, 22nd and onward) will receive their original £500 back.

To be eligible for these returned funds, teams must pass the Technical Inspection at the event they have entered.

For the first round of the Championship, the initial top 20 teams will be seeded by the Promoter and FIM, based on teams’ recent known performances over the last year.

NB: In case of new changes in the calendar, the teams will be informed and no payments will be taken.
