FIM reach agreement with Motor Presse Stuttgart to promote FIM Sidecar World Championship


Motor Presse Stuttgart will organise, stage and promote the 2023 FIM Sidecar World Championship with an option to run the series until 2026, having reached and signed an agreement with the FIM. 

Using the opportunity of the FIM Commissions Conference in Lille in France to present this new partnership in front of the FIM family it was confirmed that the 2023 series will be held over a minimum five / maximum ten rounds. This calendar format is intended to run until 2026 based on there being a minimum of fourteen teams with the intended goal to extend the championship beyond Europe.

A special interest media company based in Stuttgart in Germany, Motor Presse Stuttgart – which promotes the International German Road Racing Championship (IDM) since 2018 and employs around six hundred people was established in 1946. Its extensive portfolio includes magazines, websites and video channels specialising in car, motorcycle, bike and many other leisure activities.

Following the announcement, the focus is now on publishing the 2023 calendar and regulations as soon as possible.
