We remind you that since August this year, the National Federations and Continental Unions have been able to apply to be part of the 2022 series. Applications are open until the 28th February 2022 for one of the three types of series:
• FIM MiniGP National Series: organised by or through one FMN (national federation)
• FIM MiniGP Regional Series: organised by or through various FMNs
• FIM MiniGP Continental Series: organised by or through a CONU
In 2022, each series must comprise a minimum of five events (in 2021 it was four) and 10 races (previously eight).
Each new National Federation/Continental Union application for 2022 must to be sent to the FIM, via the updated application form – which is available HERE*
Once the application period is closed, the FIM will select the Series that will be part of the second FIM MiniGP World Series season.
We remind you that the inaugural season of the FIM MiniGP series in 2021 comprised of 11 series:
• FIM MiniGP Alpe Adria Series
• FIM MiniGP France Series
• FIM MiniGP Indonesia Series
• FIM MiniGP Ireland Series
• FIM MiniGP Italy Series
• FIM MiniGP Malaysia Series
• FIM MiniGP Netherlands Series
• FIM MiniGP North America Series
• FIM MiniGP Portugal Series
• FIM MiniGP Spain Series
• FIM MiniGP UK Series
These Series will automatically be selected for the 2022 season. However, they will need to comply with the following requirements:
• adhere to the 2022 conditions and
• send their 2022 provisional calendar by the latest, three (3) months before the first event of their season
• send their 2022 provisional entry list by the latest, one (1) months before the first event of their season to the FIM minigp@fim.ch and Dorna Sports minigp@dorna.com
The updated Participant Guide provides a comprehensive overview of the regulations, conditions, equipment, technical requirements and next steps for each FMN/CONU, promoter or interested party if they wish to be part of the FIM MiniGP World Series in 2022.
This includes a recap of how each Series must be run to be accepted, as well as details regarding schedules, tracks and more. The sourcing and pricing of the required equipment, motorcycles and tyres is explained, as well as the design and liveries that will be necessary for a Series that is accepted into the FIM MiniGP World Series.
