- Amendments to the FIM Ethical Code, Article 7 Ethical Chamber, were adopted. The FIM Ethical Chamber is fully operational.
- The Board agreed to a reduction in the licence tarifs for the FIM Bajas (FIM Baja World Cup and FIM Women and Junior Bajas World Cup) to bring them into line with the tariffs for similar events. This will be put for approval to the FIM General Assembly in Andorra in November 2017.
- Following the recommendation of the FIM Internal Auditors, represented by Mr Angelos Bavellas, and the FIM external auditors, the Board approved the 2016 FIM Financial Statements for submission to the 2017 FIM General Assembly.
- The Board took note that the recently appointed Sports Director and Medical Director will be taking up their posts in June. In addition, the Board was informed that a number of posts are currently open in the FIM Administration. A Programmes Director will be recruited to oversee the work of the FIM Beyond Sport Commissions and supervise key projects funded by the FIM as well as an Executive Assistant to provide support to the FIM President and Senior Management.
- A Communication Strategy was adopted targeting five key audiences, whereby high priority is given to the FMNs and CONUs. The Strategy focuses on creating exclusive content, pictures and short video clips to increase fan engagement on FIM Digital platforms for FIM promoted World Championship and Beyond Sports activities.
- The Board approved the appointment of the following members to FIM Commissions:
CTL: Mr Niklas MÅRDBRINK (SVEMO), Mr Mikael HEIKKILÄ (SML), Mr Thomas VIALE (FMI), Mr Meinte HOEKSTRA(KNMV).
CEN: Mr Cristian ROSSI (FMI).
CTR: Mr Fabio LENZI (FMI).
The next meeting of the FIM Board of Directors will be held in Mies on 21 September 2017.
