FIM Awards 2020 – 2021: Motul’s loyal support continues

Supporter of the FIM Awards since 2012, FIM Global Partner since 2015 and title sponsor of the FIM World Superbike Championship, Motul is a brand synonymous with motorcycle sport, with a rich and varied history.

Since the 1950s the French company has, in its own words, placed immense value in using motorsport as its ‘prime creative and ingenious laboratory’. The legacy of this real-world research is a huge depth of knowledge in understanding the demands of racing at the very highest level and, as part of the FIM Quality Product for lubricant category, all Motul lubrication products now display the FIM Quality Product logo on their packaging.

In 2020, Motul-supported World championship winners included MotoGP champion Joan Mir — the super-consistent Spanish rider helping Suzuki to an historic win at the very highest level of motorcycle racing for the first time since taking the 500GP title with Kenny Roberts Junior in 2000.

Motul’s focus and success is not limited to the racetrack, however, and its commitment to off-road sport was reinforced this year when it became the FIM ISDE Main Partner, this challenging multi-day enduro providing the ideal event to showcase Motul’s products and brand values.

This racing spirit combined with a high-quality product range that covers every possible two-wheeled application, across a huge range of motorcycle sports, has ensured ongoing success for Motul and its supported teams and riders across multiple disciplines. We look forward to celebrating an array of World championship titles ranging from MotoGP to Ice Speedway with Motul at this year’s event.

Reinforcing their loyal relationship with the FIM, Fabrizio D’Ottavi – Motul Group Powersports Communication Manager said: “Motul congratulates the motorcycle sport community and its champions, is the motto that links our brand to the prestigious FIM Awards. A moment and a place of dreams where the efforts and challenges of a season, I could say of a lifetime, of riders from all the different motorcycle disciplines are celebrated in front of the entire motorcycle sport community.”

“Motul, as a company heavily involved in the sector, could simply not miss celebrating two years of great successes. We have great memories of the Suzuki ECSTAR Team winning the MotoGP World Championship in 2020 with Joan Mir; the MXGP title taken by Honda rider, Tim Gajser with the HRC MXGP Team the same year; right up to the most recent Endurance World Championship won by the Yoshimura SERT Motul Team. An intense journey of successes always makes us proud to be next to these great riders and teams!"

Fabio Muner - FIM Marketing & Digital Director concluded by adding. “We are very proud of this long and loyal association with Motul and are thankful for their continued support across various FIM corporate programmes and events. Over an extended period, the collaboration has proved to be a very successful one, and one that has brought great benefits to both parties. Motul is highly active brand in our community and this is reflected both in their presence and status, and shows what can be achieved through close and effective partnerships.”
