Fifth place for the Michelin GMT 94 Yamaha R1 at the 8H of Oschersleben

The race started with a fall. David Checa could not avoid a bike who fell at the start of the second lap. After getting back into the race seven laps down, David Checa, Kenny Foray and Maxime Berger maintained the gap to the leaders while making up over 30 places.

Christophe Guyot: "We are obviously disappointed, but this is racing. Fortunately, both riders are safe after a big crash.
Our Yamaha R1 worked flawlessly. The Michelin tires were consistent from start to finish during each stint. The team was efficient during pit stops. They were able to repair a good amount of damage in 10 minutes. Our three riders performed well. We scored points towards the world championship, in which we maintained our third position. Racing at Oschersleben is always a great pleasure for its spirit, passion and perfect organization.

We now look to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in September with great ambition."
