Dubai rounds off the FIM Bajas World Cup

There will be 31 motorcycles and three quads at scrutineering and administration checks on Thursday, November 20th for the final round of the FIM Bajas World Cup in Dubai.

Local star Mohammed Al-Balooshi (KTM) takes the start, already with the title of being the 2025 World Champion in his pocket. In effect, the Emirati has a 25-point lead over his rival Rafic Eid from whom one score will be deducted. According to the FIM regulations, only the six best scores count for points and he has already participated in six rounds.

For the victory, Al-Balooshi will face the leading Junior Konrad Dabrowski ((KTM), winner of the last round in Qatar for a third time and winner in Dubai last year.

In the quad category, Hani Al-Noumesi is already assured of the title. The Saudi has 81 points with his closest rival Antoine Sanchez on 45.

Without too much drama, Al-Balooshi is already the winner of the FIM Bajas World Cup for a fourth time. He will also win the Veteran category ahead of Rafic Eid.

The podium at the Dubai International Baja is all to play for and will most likely be contested between the two leading Junior riders, Dabrowski and Alex McInnes (Husqvarna), Jean-Loup Lepan (Duust KTM), Phillipe Horlemann (KTM) and Al-Balooshi.

In the women’s category, Alona Ben Natan (Husqvarna) leads with 58 points from Sara Garcia on 50 points, although Garcia will not take the start. Polish rider Joanna Modrzewska (Husqvarna) will also present along with Raimonda Biguzaite (KTM).

Competitors will pass scrutineering and administration checks on Thursday (November 20th) at Dubai Festival Mall. The next day, Friday, they will tackle a short Prologue of 5.64km at Wadi Hatta, around 131km from the parc fermé, and this will determine the starting order for the first special of 195km on Saturday, November 22nd.

The second stage takes place on Sunday, November 23rd. It will be equally as long at 195km and the winners of the various categories will then receive their awards after a season of seven rounds in the Middle East and Europe.
