Déjà vu for Busto?

After a very difficult introduction to the 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship for seventeen year old Jaime Busto – Repsol Honda at round three of the series in Barcelona, Spain – the teenager is set to make his second appearance in the series as a wild card entrant tomorrow evening at the closing event in Oviedo, Spain.

The 2014 FIM Trial World Cup winner endured a torrid evening on his debut in the ex Olympic arena and ended the potentially confidence damaging experience in last place. Busto was one of four riders not to make it through any of the five sections during qualification and ended his lap with a hefty total of twenty-five marks. To add insult to injury Jaime was then the slowest of the four riders who were forced to ride the speed section as a tie-decider.

Hopefully in Oviedo which has a smaller arena and maybe less imposing setting, with possibly more technical sections along with the experience he gained from his debut this will give Busto a better chance of showing his true capability this time out. As the elected wild card entrant Jaime will once again be forced to ride the six qualification sections first tomorrow night, as he takes to the floor partnered by fellow four stroke rider and rookie Eddie Karlsson – Montesa.

Jaime and his team will be hoping that it is not a case of déjà vu come the close of play tomorrow evening.
