Definitive withdrawal of FIM Homologation – Anlas

The FIM has decided to withdraw definitively the homologation granted to the tyre manufacturer Anlas. As a result, the use of Anlas tyres is banned from any upcoming FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championships, FIM Speedway of Nations and FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championships.

On 9 September 2020, the homologation previously granted to the Anlas tyres was provisionally withdrawn as a result of the test report issued by the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute.

On 16 September 2020,  a second test was performed in a laboratory of  TÜV Italia located in Torino (Italy), in the presence of one technical representative of the FIM and one technical representative of Anlas.

The report of the second test confirmed that the samples of Anlas did not comply with the minimum shore hardness required by article 49.10 of the FIM Track Racing Technical Rules 2020 for FIM Speedway World Championships.

The FIM has encouraged Anlas to submit a new application for FIM homologation.
