British's Cal Crutchlow claimed his fourth straight FIM Supersport World Championship pole position after edging out Joan Lascorz at Monza.
The Yamaha rider clocked one minute 49.706seconds, 0.033sec faster than his Spanish rival with France's Fabien Foret third quickest.
Crutchlow leads the season standings by six points from Ireland's Eugene Laverty, who will start from fourth on the grid.
Mark Aitchison, Kenan Sofuoglu, Andrew Pitt, Gianluca Nannelli, Garry McCoy and Katsuaki Fujiwara make up the top 10.
