The team DGSPORT HEROCK just finished two days of official testing on the track of Magny-Cours in order to prepare their participation at the Bol d’Or, on the 14th and 15th of April.
K-Tech, the suspensions partner of the team, did a lot of hard work to prepare for this test. And the result was very good, the riders immediately had a good feeling about the bike. The Yamaha R1 DGSPORT, for the first time equipped with Pirelli tyres, quickly gained its riders’ confidence, resulting in excellent lap times for all three of them.
There are still two weeks left for the team to fine tune the motorcycle thanks to the information gathered during this test. Before the major French event, the riders still have a track day to further prepare for the race and to adjust the settings.
Didier Van Keymeulen :
« We can say that this getting acquainted with the bike was very successful. We started on a great frame/suspension basis on the first day. As the laps went by, we only had to do some minor adjustments to adjust the bikes to our riding, and this always in the right direction.
I’m very pleased about the functioning of the team and about the good understanding with my fellow riders. A good atmosphere is of the utmost importance in view of the Bol d’Or.
The competition is hard, but our homogeneity will be our major ace! »
Alex Cudlin :
« I’m happy because this first test went perfect. I was immediately enthusiast about the bike : it’s a true endurance bike with which it’s very easy to make fast lap times. That’s very good for the race ».
Gianluca Vizziello :
« We finished an excellent pre-Bol test. I feel good on the bike and the functioning of the team pleases me, I was surprised by their professional approach. That confirms my previsions : we have very good chances for the championship by playing the card of regularity ».
