The Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) has nominated Ken Morgan for this year’s award for his dedication to rider training and motorcycling.
Mr Morgan has a long record of service to motorcycling in Canada, with the Canada Safety Council from the 1970s organising, leading, and developing motorcycle training nationwide.
In Canada his work has been recognised by numerous awards. In 2009 he was elected to the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame. In 2002 he was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal in recognition of his work. This was followed in 2012 with the award of the Diamond Jubilee medal.
With colleagues from the CMA and CSC Ken Morgan led the organisation of the 2011 FIM Experienced Rider Training symposium which brought together rider trainers from across the world to learn from their colleagues in Canada and share experiences.
