Circuit de Catalunya will be giving MotoGP spectators a glimpse of green!

This weekend, the Circuit de Catalunya, winner of the 2012 FIM Environment Award, will be implementing a new initiative to inform spectators about the environmental actions taken here at the circuit. Throughout the race weekend, spectators will be able to obtain information on this topic at the "Green Meeting Point", located at the Grand Stand main entrance, where two environmental experts will explain what the Circuit is currently doing. 

The FIM is also involved in this initiative and will be present throughout the event.
The Circuit de Catalunya is one of the first world class circuits to operate in accordance with the ISO 14000 Standard, promoting a major social impact for the community, a clear vision of sustainability and a proactive approach, acting as a community educator, and using clear, sustainable methodology based on Environmental Management Plans.  

FIM President Vito Ippolito welcomes the efforts being made by the Circuit:  “Sustainability-based planning is becoming increasingly vital for our sport. Working with stakeholders creates the synergy necessary to help us attain our objectives, which are providing high-quality sports with high environmental standards and enabling future generations to continue enjoying our sport. Throughout this weekend, the Circuit de Catalunya will be implementing a very important stage in this process by providing information and explanations on its initiatives through the "Green Meeting Point" here at the track, and we at the FIM are supporting these efforts on site."
