Carlos Checa hopes to secure his future in the FIM Superbike World Championship for the 2010 season after a recent run of good form on the Ten Kate Honda.
The 36-year-old has finished on the podium three times in the last four races but is waiting to hear if he will stay with the team for next season.
Checa told MCN: "I don't know where I will be next year. Everything is changing, but I think I have shown my potential.
"I have shown that I am top five or top three and I want a package for next year in WSB that means I can win. I want to be in a winning team, if that means that I stay at Ten Kate or if not I will look at some other options.
"I know that this season was not so good and we had many problems especially at the beginning, which were not only my fault. We were far away, I got injured and my motivation went down. We could not get the bike to work and we had a lot of chatter. Then came the suspension change and now I can see the light.
"Now I am working well with the team and my engineers, we have a good balance with the bike. As a result I am together with the bike and you can see that in the results because we are on the pace and we are fighting for the win."
