Carrasco happy to be "finally under way"

The FIM World Supersport 300 season starts for 2018 champion Ana Carrasco.

Carrasco wrote history two years ago to becone first first women to clinch a FIM Championship in s single mixed competition. She's now determined to double up.

The season starts 5 months later than foreseen due to the Covid-19 situation. During this 5 month stoppage the team has been able to take advantage and perform various tests on the Motorland track as well as on the Catalunya-Barcelona track, and the rider feels better prepared than ever. Also, Ana has had a lot of time to carry out extra physical preparation, which allows her to kick off the championship in very good shape, this weekend in Jerez.

On the 23rd of July the team was presented at the new Motocard store of the X-MADRID shopping centre, where, apart from announcing the novelties for this year, the documentary  “Ride your dream” was presented, starring Ana Carrasco and produced by Rakuten, available for free, as of the 17th of September on Rakuten TV.

As a novelty this season, each round of the world championship will have two races per weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Ana will wear the dorsal number 11, in contrast to other seasons where she’s worn the numbers 2, 22 and 1.

Ana Carrasco (Kawasaki Provec WorldSSP300 Rider): "I’m really happy that the season finally gets under way. I feel we’ve done a good job during this time, I’ve felt very good in the tests. Physically I feel really good. With the weekend format having two races we’ll have to handle it a bit differently with respect to last year but we’ll try to adapt as quickly as possible and start to work as of Friday thinking about the first race on Saturday".
