Britain’s Rebekah Cook – TRS will look to stir things up when the 2016 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship gets underway tomorrow, as the series visits her homeland for the first time in the history of the ladies tour since it was initially conceived back in 2000. Last season for the fifth time since the now twenty-nine-year old joined the series back in 2004, Cook finished as runner-up in the overall honours and for a second occasion to her compatriot and long-time arch rival Emma Bristow – Sherco.
Whilst softly spoken, Rebekah is fiercely competitive, as she has proved during the off-season with her exploits in the field of mountain biking enduro. Cook has used her Trial experience and skills to great success and has claimed pedal powered victories at national level and made her presence felt on the World stage during more recent months. A keen cyclist, both on and off road Rebekah is in good shape coming into this weekend’s event having trained hard almost on a daily basis on the trails and streets of her native Isle of Wight to be ready to fight for the title once again.
A quick check of the menu and it appears that Cook has all the right ingredients to certainly stirs things up when the action starts tomorrow, and has lost none of her appetite for success.
