Camier on Aprilia


British Superbike champion Leon Camier is to race alongside Max Biaggi for the Aprilia SBK team in the 2010 FIM Superbike World Championship.

The 23-year-old Camier made his debut on the Aprilia RSV4 in World Superbikes towards the end of the 2009 season at Magny-Cours and then racing in the final round of the series at Portimao.

Camier posted sixth and seventh at Portimao and also showed well during the post-race tests at the Portuguese circuit.

Having won the British 125cc championship title in 2001 he also took the British Supersport title in 2005.

In 2007 he was eighth in the British Superbike Championship despite a serious accident.

Having finished fifth place in 2008 he lifted the title this year with 18 first places out of 26 races to set a championship record.
