Camelia Liparoti concentrated to the very end!

The Dakar is unfolding today its longest special stage, along the Pacific Ocean: no less than 631 kilometres to Antofagasta, for a day of racing verging the 700 kilometres. Tomorrow, the special stage will be of 605 kilometres. Let me tell you that with just a few days from the arrival (it will be on Saturday at Valparaiso), nothing is spared to the survivors of this rally. Four more special stages, Camelia is in the 14th position of this last special stage, allowing it her to integrate the Top 15 of the overall classification. It will be difficult to go further forward, simply by snapping a good time because there is little to gain and much to lose as to make up the lost time. Only the misfortune of some, -not wishing this, can allow to move up the ranking. Camelia, constant and with endurance, has made her race, not in a duo as do some competitors in order to help each other in a case of an hard blow, but on her own, tracing her journey at her own pace, serene, and finding immense satisfaction in discovering the new landscapes and sharing her emotions with a supporting population acquired by the cause of the Dakar. In Chile, it is no exaggeration to speak of cheering to the competitors. Camelia has completed her four previous Dakar: 15th in 2013, 9th in 2012, 10th in 2011 and 13th in 2010, she is on course for a repeat achievement this year, while chasing the best female performance (they were 10 at the start), motorbikes, quad-bikes, cars and trucks all together. Today, the course did not give any present: dunes, fesh-fesh, delicate passages...it takes some physical and mental form in order to swallow the kilometres, arrive late, treat the minor cuts and the bruises, have little sleep, get up very early from the night, restart the cold engine, and re-attack the race for ten hours without any distraction...Camelia will once more trace her route "with her hand", preserving the mechanics of her Yamaha: 13th at the CP1, 13th at the CP2… She will arrive late at the bivouac and her place in the overall ranking should not change. Forza Camelia!
