The top three ranked riders in the FIM X-Trial World Championship have arrived in Strasbourg, ready for tonight's opening round of the 2012 series. Each of these three motorised gladiators has only one thing in mind, and that is to make a winning start to this new campaign.
Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa: "The opening Trial is always difficult even if the sections are tough or easy. The pressure is more or less the same as the other rounds, but inside you know it is important to make a good start to the new championship. My goal is to win, but it will not be simple."
Albert Cabestany - Sherco: "I am not too sure about the exact level of the sections yet, as that depends on the final details they will explain to us in the riders' meeting later. I can say if you come here with no pressure, you are only coming to play. If you want to win then you have pressure. I am happy with my bike after much practice this winter and come here knowing anything is possible, but also with a lot of work to do."
Adam Raga - Gas Gas: "It looks like it is going to be a good Trial, some of the sections look quite difficult and many of them are tricky at least. The first round of the World Championship always brings extra pressure, but that is all part of the game. All I can do is to ride my best and hope that gives me the result I am looking for."
