Ahead of tomorrow night’s FIM X-Trial World Championship event in Barcelona, Spain that marks round two of the 2016 series, the main protagonists shared their thoughts about this big occasion.
Toni Bou – Repsol Honda: "Winning means so much, and right now maybe I can really appreciate what it means. I have great rivals, who are in very good shape, but I must not deviate from my normal way of working and I am ready to go all out. The first goal is to be in the final, but as always winning is the main goal.”
Adam Raga – TRS: "I am still in dreamland and it is a good place to be. The win in Sheffield with a new bike was almost unthinkable. But the level is very high, and nobody should be mistaken, Toni (Bou) is the man to beat. To fight for the victory again will be great. Starting the season with such a good result in such a short series is a real positive"
Albert Cabestany – Sherco: "We are working hard so that in the Palau Sant Jordi you might just see my best riding of all time. The fact I won the last round of the 2015 championship in Oviedo has given me good motivation and momentum. However of all the races, Barcelona is the round that you want to win the most."
Jeroni Fajardo – Vertigo: " Currently I am in a good form. The competition is always very fierce. I must try to catch Toni Bou, but first I will do my best to be in the final in Barcelona.”
Takahisa Fujinami – Repsol Honda: "After fifteen appearances in Barcelona I can only say that whilst I am still enjoying the sport I will try to give the public inside this famous arena the best show possible.”
