It’s the final qualifying race of the season here at Lacapelle Marival in France. Raining this morning here on this 1600 metre track , it left the technical circuit moist and muddy for the morning practices. The track dryed out fast leaving it dusty for this afternoons races. The first and the last qualifying hole shot of the year went to the number two rider Julien Bill on his Swiss Honda. Bill left the pack of thirty riders standing as he took a dominant lead from the UFO Racing team rider Milko Potisek and the Dutch Ceriel Klien Kromhof. Mean while it was the Czech rider Martin Michek and the flying Finn Antti Pyrhonen battling it out for the 4th place qualifying position. Potisek closed the door on the Swiss near to the finish of this twenty minute plus two lap race. But making a mistake on the last lap left him 13 seconds behind at the end. Ceriel Klien Kromof crashed alone whilst he was in a stress free race from third he completed the race in 28th position. The second French rider in the top five was Jacquelin Morgan on his Kawasaki machine finishing just a few seconds from the fourth place of Pyrhonen. Julien Bill leading the championship by 34 points it will be a grueling first race to who will be the 2011 FIM MX3 World champion. We will see tomorrow if Julien Bill can keep his pace and his concentration to take the first win of the day and his world title. Dixit Julien Bill “Yeah the qualifying race for me was good. I finally got my first holeshot of the season so I am happy with that. I just rode decent, pretty tight. Milko was more fast at the end. For sure its going to be a hard race tomorrow. So we will see how it goes.” Jacquelin Morgan “I didn´t start too bad, I think I was in the top ten. I tried my best to be more in front and I ended up in 6th place and then at the end a rider crashed so I finished fifth, so I can not wait for tomorrow.” Martin Michek “The qualifying today for me was ok, I had a bad start. So I moved my way up to the front of the pack to finish the qualifying in third. So tomorrow I look for a better start and to get a good position.” Milko Potisek “ I was second behind Bill on the start and in the first ten minutes I found it hard to get a rhythm. I tried my best through out the whole race and to find a good solution for lines etc for tomorrow. I came back on bill 5 minutes to go. But I made a mistake and settled for second position.” RESULTS MX3 - Qualifying Race: 1. Julien Bill (SUI, Honda), 23:51.952; ; 2. Milko Potisek (FRA, Honda), +0:12.234; 3.
