Barcelona – What the riders said…

The 32nd edition of the Barcelona event marked the mid point in the 2009 SPEA FIM Indoor Trial World Championship, and another win for Toni Bou. This is what the top three riders had to say after the competition.

Albert Cabestany – 3rd position – “First of all I want to thank the doctors and the dentist who have worked hard all week to repair the injuries I sustained last weekend. It has been a difficult week in that respect, so I suppose I should be happy to be on the podium. I started slowly in order to regain my confidence and gradually I had a good feeling on the bike once again. The only disappointment is that Toni now has a strong lead in the championship.”

Adam Raga – 2nd position – “I started really badly, no I mean really badly and immediately this gave my rivals an advantage. In the end I began to ride a lot better and I made a good recovery to at be in second position at the finish. If I am to have any chance of taking the title I can not afford to repeat the same kind of mistakes in the last two rounds.”

Toni Bou – 1st position – “This is such an important victory for me, for my fans in my home city and also for the team as we are close to the Montesa headquarters here. But the most important thing is that it is a good victory for the championship too. I want to thank my team as my bike was working really well tonight. My plan is to stay focussed for the final two rounds and to be champion once again.”
