Aussie duo Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder ended 2025 on a huge high after regaining the FIM Speedway of Nations crown in Toruń, Poland on Saturday.
Last year’s silver medalists Kurtz and Holder rode a masterful first lap to get the better of Poland‘s six-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and Patryk Dudek to win the Grand Final at the Marian Rose Motoarena.
Holder and No.3 Jason Doyle collect their second FIM SON gold medals, following up their 2022 victory in Vojens, Denmark. Meanwhile, new world No.2 Brady Kurtz wins his first FIM Speedway World Championship - weeks after falling just short of Speedway GP World Championship gold by one point.
Victory for Australia also sees them qualify for the 2026 FIM Speedway World Cup Final in Warsaw, joining host nation Poland.
Poland claimed the SON silver medals - their first podium finish in the FIM SON since 2021, when they also finished second. This is their fourth silver medal in the competition.
Denmark picked up the bronze medals after being defeated by Poland in the Grand Final Qualifier following a disqualification for captain Leon Madsen.
