Team owner Jorge Martinez Aspar is to discuss using Aprilia machinery in the 2010 FIM Moto2 World Championship.
Aspar and team sporting director Gino Borsoi are to travel to the Aprilia factory in Noale to discuss a way forward after the Italian manufacturer announced its unexpected decision to stop its Moto2 project for the 2010 season.
The Aspar team has two 125cc world champions - current title holder Julian Simon and 2008 champion Mike di Meglio - signed to race the 2010 Moto2 championship.
Aspar said of Aprilia's withdrawal: "The news came as a surprise to me.
"We believed the project was developing and wanted Aprilia for our arrival in Moto2, because there is no doubt the Italian brand has great experience in world championships.
"Next Tuesday, Gino and I will travel to Italy to meet with the leaders of Aprilia, and see if we can find a solution. If there isn't one, we'll immediately look at our other options.
"What is clear is that we'll go with the most reliable project, because Julian and Mike, both 125cc world champions, must have the best equipment to challenge for the title.
"We also cannot let down the trust placed in us by our sponsors."
