Appointment of Ms Emilie F. Westbye as Board Member of the International Foundation for Motorcycling

Following the resignation of Mr Tony Skillington, the Board of the International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM) appointed Ms Emilie F. Westbye as Board Member of the Foundation. Emilie is the President of the Norwegian Motorsport Federation (NMF) and member of the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission. She has been part of the motorcycling family for many years as she competed in the Trial European and World Championships series, became a coach for young girls in motorsport in Norway, as well as a board member in her local club and then in the national federation of Norway.

Emilie was elected President of the NMF in 2019, thus becoming the youngest president in the history of the Norwegian federation. Motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats and radio-cars are all under the umbrella of the NMF.

She is now joining the IFM Board, which is composed of FIM and IFM President Mr Jorge Viegas, FIM Europe President Mr Martin De Graaff, FIM Family Legend and former FIM CEO Mr Guy Maitre and multiple FIM Grand Prix World Champion Mr Giacomo Agostini.

Following this appointment, the IFM President, Mr Jorge Viegas, added: As a young national federation, executive woman and as a former rider, Emilie shall definitely bring the diversity, dynamism and experience which our Foundation requires to achieve its goals. Congratulations to Emilie for her new position.

Ms Emilie F. Westbye stated: I am truly honored to be appointed for this position, and look forward to working with my new colleagues in the best interests of motorcycling. Together we will accomplish great things, and I am excited to get started.
