Twenty-two year old Alfredo Gomez - Montesa from Madrid, Spain is the 2011 SPEA FIM Junior Trial World Champion. Gomez who also won the Youth title back in 2007, was runner-up to Jack Challoner – Beta during the 2010 season in the Junior class, however has managed to go one step higher this year. Alfredo first joined the World tour back in 2006, when he finished fourth in the Youth series during his rookie season and since then has progressed well through the ranks. Four wins during the first four days of this year’s campaign set Alfredo on the path to success and with another victory today his fate was sealed. Speaking about his latest achievement Gomez stated. “I felt good all day, even if I was just a little nervous to begin with this morning. I knew the rain was coming and so I went fast to miss it. I took two fives in the last sections because of the rain, but I still won. It feels incredible to be champion again, so I am pleased with how it went today. On Sunday I will ride in the World Pro class to gain experience for next season.”
