90th FIM ISDE is ready

The official opening ceremony of the 2015 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) saw the riders, teams and supporters from each of the thirty-one competing nations parade through the historic streets of Košice on Saturday evening, who were then later welcomed on to the stage to mark the ninetieth running of the ISDE. With the start of the event now less than a day away, the official opening ceremony saw the return of the trophies won in Argentina last year. France, who topped the World Trophy category in 2014, the USA who were Junior World Trophy winners in Argentina, the Australian ladies who were victorious in the Women’s category and Germany who were awarded the Watling Trophy all received huge cheers from looking locals and event dignitaries.

The total entry of 497 competitors consists of 290 club team riders, 138 World trophy participants, 52 Junior World Trophy members, 17 female protagonists and 44 representatives from the host nation.

Tomorrow France’s Marc Bourgeois and Anthony Boissiere along with the USA’s Kailub Russel will be the first riders to head off from the start at 8.00hrs local time on day one of the 2015 ISDE.
