Originally scheduled to take place in Zarnovica, Slovakia on a date yet to be confirmed, the 2020 FIM Speedway Grand Prix Challenge will now be held at a new venue due to ongoing restrictions relating to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic prohibiting the event going ahead as was initially planned.
As such the FIM is pleased to announce that with the support of the Croatian Motorcycling Federation (HMS) the 2020 event will now take place in Gorican, Croatia on 22 August 2020.
The event will include sixteen nations comprising of fifteen nations plus a host national federation wild card and reserves. Each of the national federations will be requested to nominate a rider.
The top three classified riders from the 2020 FIM Speedway Grand Prix Challenge will qualify for the 2021 FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championship. FIM Communications
