2009 calendar changes revealed

The 2009 FIM SuperMoto World Championship calendar has undergone a raft of revisions, series organisers confirmed on Friday.

The biggest victim of the upheaval is the Grand Prix of Austria, which has lost its place on the calendar to the GP of Val d'Aosta in Aosta on July 12.

The other major changes has seen the GP of Catalunya provisionally added to the schedule, on November 8, with a venue to be announced, while the GP of Europe on September 6 will now be staged in Latina rather than Franciacorta.

Date changes also affect a number of events, with the GP of Spain moving to September 27, The GP of Andorra pushed back to September 20 and the GP of Alpi del Mare at Busca now on October 25.
