Klima replaces Bednar as Prague Wild Card

Czech international Daniel Klima will replace the injured Adam Bednar as FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague wild card on May 31.

Bednar crashed during Polish club Gorzow’s Under-24 Ekstraliga match with Czestochowa on May 13 and has been ruled out of making his Speedway GP debut at Marketa Stadium.

The 17-year-old is replaced by his Prague club teammate Daniel Klima, aged 22, who finished third in the recent Czech Championship in Slany. This will be his first Speedway GP appearance over at least five rides.

Klima has made two previous Speedway GP appearances as a track reserve in Prague and was also on standby in the pits for the 2024 FIM Czech Speedway GP, but did not take a ride.

He qualified for the 2022 FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship (SGP2) series, taking 19th place. He will hope to make the most of his previous international experience in the biggest meeting of his career so far.

The line-up for the FIM Czech Speedway GP will be completed by track reserves Jan Macek and Jaroslav Vanicek, who line up in the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.

Tickets for the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague are still available online. Secure your spot at Marketa Stadium HERE now.
