Ana Carrasco (DS Junior Team) a étendu son avance au championnat en FIM World Supersport 300 suite à sa victoire à Donington Park. L'Espagnole a dominé le Prosecco DOC UK Round, signant sa deuxième victoire d'affilée et son premier grand chelem – pole, victoire, meilleur tour, ainsi que toute la course menée. Derrière elle, une dernière boucle animée a vu son coéquipier Dorren Loureiro (DS Junior Team) décrocher son premier podium en WorldSSP300.
Carrasco avait conscience, comme à Imola, que son rythme sur une piste dégagée était imbattable. Tout ce dont elle avait besoin était un bon départ, ce qu'elle a fait, se maintenant devant Koen Meuffels (KTM Fortron Junior Team) et Mika Pérez (Kawasaki ParkinGO Team), qui ont pris part à la bataille pour le podium.
La pilote espagnole mène désormais le championnat avec 22 points d'avance, mais une bataille haletante pour la deuxième place a émergé dans le dernier tour. Scott Deroue (Motoport Kawasaki) semblait avoir réussi à creuser un écart pour faire son retour sur le podium, mais des erreurs dans la dernière partie de la course, notamment dans le dernier tour dans les Esses de Fogarty, l'ont fait chuter dans le classement à la sixième place.
Avec Deroue hors du coup, c'est finalement Loureiro qui a émergé sous le drapeau à damier, avec Borja Sánchez (ETG Racing) signant un deuxième podium consécutif avec la troisième place finale. Enzo De La Vega (GP Project Team) a réussi pour sa part à obtenir son meilleur résultat avec la quatrième place à l'arrivée, devant Meuffels.
Jan-Ole Jahnig (Freudenberg KTM Junior Team) termine pour sa part septième, avec Pérez juste derrière lui, et Galang Hendra Pratama (BIBLION YAMAHA MOTOXRACING) ainsi que Luca Grunwald (Freudenberg KTM WorldSSP Team), qui ferment le top 10.held and extended her lead in the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship with a dominant display at Donington Park. Carrasco knew that, just as at Imola, her pace with an open track ahead was nearly unbeatable. All she needed was a good start, which Carrasco nailed down, shooting ahead while Koen Meuffels (KTM Fortron Junior Team) and Mika Pérez (Kawasaki ParkinGO Team) got caught up in the podium tussle.
With the Murcian, who now leads the championship by 22 points, racing off into the distance, a thrilling battle for second emerged into the final lap. Scott Deroue (Motoport Kawasaki) had managed to open a gap and controlled his return to the podium midway through the race, but late mistakes, including a last-lap journey through the Fogarty Esses, meant that he dropped all the way back to sixth.
With Deroue out of contention, it was finally Loureiro edging ahead at the flag, with Borja Sánchez (ETG Racing) scoring a second successive podium in third. Enzo De La Vega (GP Project Team) managed his best result of the season in fourth, with Meuffels in fifth.
Jan-Ole Jahnig (Freudenberg KTM Junior Team) made his way to the flag in seventh, with Pérez down to eighth, Galang Hendra Pratama (BIBLION YAMAHA MOTOXRACING) in ninth, and Luca Grunwald (Freudenberg KTM WorldSSP Team), still second in the championship, finishing his Donington weekend in tenth.
